Default PNP Switch

Does anyone know where to find a PNP switch, I cannot find one any where! Is it a dealer only part? Does it have another name? Anyone know how much one is? Any help will greatly be appreciated. Thanks.

You will find that Volvo is very proprietary re: parts. Yes, you can find some after market items but the dealer seems to be your only avenue for many "normal" replacement parts. In addition to Volvospeed, look into joining the Volvo club................you will find sources for your auto.

Yeah, I've been searching but nothing turned up. The dealer gave me a quote of $150 for the pnp switch. Does this seem about the right price for the long island, new york area? Was told the part should be cheaper, don't know if the guys just yanking my chain. thanks.

It is probably cheaper in that area because I believe the parts (mostly imported from Germany or Sweden) enter the US in that area. I didn't really tinker with my Volvo while I was in NJ, but the parts do seem to be more expensive out here in MI. I also believe that the parts departments in your area will accept the VCOA discounts whereas I have been unsuccessful out here.

You may also want to check out Groton for a PNP switch they tend to offer OEM parts much cheaper than the dealer.
