Default Poly mount = vibration

Installed new upper torque mount and Transmission Torque Mount and got unwanted vibration. I knew this would happen (from previous experience with poly) but thought it wouldn't bother me this much.
So my question is should I go back to rubber or is there any other way to make this polyurethane softer? Drilling couple holes?

lol. If you knew it would happen and knew that you didn't want vibrations, why did you install them? I would try changing them in fear of risking damaging them some how. And if you're trying to think of ways to make poly softer, than there's no point in using poly and just go back to rubber.

poly is more durable, but it's also harder, that's why it causes vibrations
the only way to fix it is to go back to rubber

Like I wrote, didn't think it would bother me this much, and I was making huge order from IPD so had free shipping and was trying to avoid PITA off rubber installation. They are only $26 so if I destroy them it is wort try, can always go back to rubber( did it 5 years ago and went back to rubber, still have home made tool from Home depot). My point of using poly was easy install not performance ( hence old man, old n/a car, LOL)
I remember reading someplace that someone did drill couple of holes
in poly but can't find it anymore.
I am in process of replacing all mounts so maybe when all done vibration will be gone.

LOL, I also installed poly and did get the vibration as explained and warned on the website. I am getting older and found a good remedy for the vibration, a mouth piece.

BTW, you must have gotten a real deal on the transmission mount. I think I paid around $100 for mine.

PS: My wife said get add a neck brace and some suspenders. Also get a magnet to find your loose change. LOL

In the P2 cars with Poly upper mounts it really helps with vibration by loosening up the mount, starting the car, then tightening down the mount while the car is idling. It's easy enough to do so you might as well give it a shot.

did mine a few months ago on the XC. It will subside considerably, given a little time.

One of my cars had the Poly on when I bought it and I had it changed to the rubber. I did not like the vibration at all.
