Post your Mileage count ...
191687 miles
'95 Volvo 850 GLT
I bought it with 185,000 + miles.. for $1500 ... I spent a little $1000 on repairs... (1. rotors, 2. brakes were shifting to the left, and some other stuff) ..
current problems: mount is making some noise .. and there is another unidentified problem (some noise I hear)
was that a good deal?

RE: Post your Mileage count ...
You got a pretty good deal in my book.
I wish I could find one for that price.
You should get atleast another 100,000 or more out of it.
I have seen these engines with over 300,000 miles on them.
I worked on a S40 the other day that had 201,000 miles on it for a 2000 car.

Not to hijack the thread, but as long as we are talking about mileage.... does Volvo still offer grille badges like they used to for when your car reaches certain mileage milestones (nop pun intended). I remember about 15 years ago my father-in-law had a 100,000, 150,000, 200,000 and 250,000 mile badge on his 240
If they do still offer them, what do you need to provide to get one once you hit a mileage milestone?

Yes they offer the badges. You just call an 800 number and give them your information and they send them to you. I think they only come in increments of 100,000. I had just put the 200,000 mile one on my 94 850 Turbo and then engine went about a month later at 206,000. The car was in very good condition other than the engine and the repair shop gave me around $1,000 for it. It's still sitting there too. I bought the 97 850 R rather than putting several thousand dollars into the 94. In hindsight I wish I would have fixed the 94 850. I have the 800 number for the badges at work, and I will post it on Monday if nobody does sooner. I'm sure you can find it somewhere.

I bought my 94 850T for $2200 Nz (1400US) with 183000kms (114500 miles) in March this year. The odo wasn't working so had that fixed but the workshop gave the car back to me with the speedo about 30km/h below, but I don't want to go back as they will then realise they have not charged me for the odo work either.
Just had new tyres put on and apart from that the car is a dream, can not believe I got it for so cheap.

146,655 miles
1997 855 wagon, runs great. I paid $6000.00 from my independent Volvo mechanic. All belts have been changed, all fluids changed and flushed, all filters replaced. It has leather, power seats, moon roof, alloy wheels, tracs, keyless remote and alarm, plus third row seats/ It should be goood for another 100,000 miles.
