Power gone
I have a 1996 850 volvo and since i have brought it I've changed the oil flame box, ignition coil, spake plugs ,used fuel injections, cap,Msd blaster with each change it has gotten better. but Last night while driving to my second job in cruise the car lost power and I had to get it towed home.
So today I changed the cam position sensor no change, the MAF $140 no change but before that the codes P1101,P0102 now no codes and it still runs with no power to drive it and the brakes have little power too. What could it be ?

Usually When you run out of gas the car shuts off and rolls to a stop... Is that what is happening?
Now when you put the car in gear either forward or reverse it will move but when you press the pedal do the RPM's go up and the car does not go faster?
or
When you press the pedal do the rpm's stay the same and dont go up?
or
When you press the pedal does it spudder and shake and smoke and then shut off?

Ive been thinking about this...
He is saying that he looses boost while cruising... You don boost while cruising. You are almost always in vacuum, Im usually between 10 inhg and 15 inhg while running with cruise control on at 60mph.
If he is surging while in vacuum when the compressor kicks on than the compressor is drawing more of a load off the engine than it should.... Correct?
How does the compressor sound when it kicks on?
BUT
I still dont understand the braking running out of gas scenario.
