doesn't seem like the most polite way to ask for help but for starters you need to state what vehicle you have. The answer depends on the year.

I feel volvorog is just stating that other forums seem to follow a similar setup or organization. Which differs from what he/she is seeing on this one. Year and model is necessary to answer the question.

yes I'm sorry, just not familiar with this set up... I have a `1996 850 wagon 5 speed, no turbo...cranked it up one morning, left it running a bit long, maybe 10 minutes and when I went to get in it the cel was on, I would imagine this would be an O2 sensor..in my miata, you unhook the battery, push the brake pedal to kill the capacitor for the airbag so there is no current in the car, then hook the battery back up and use a jumper wire to the diagnosis connector and the airbag light will flash a certain number of times, and that will tell you the problem....Rog

You need an ODB-II reader top pull codes. AutoZone will pull them for you for free if you don't have a reader. Your plug for the reader in under the coin holder next to the Cig lighter. Once you have the codes post them here and somebody will help or you can look the code up yourself. I think I have a link to a site with the codes in the Helpful Hint thread at the top of this forum.

Mark down the codes and see if they will reset the light. Some of them will and some of them won't. Tell them you want to see if it's a false warning and if the light comes back and they get the same codes a 2nd time, you will do what you need to do to fix it. Which actually what I would do anyway. The scanners are not very expensive if you want to buy one. Really cheap at Harbor Freight.
