Proper tire size? odometer off?
Hello guys, I was wondering what the proper tire size for my volvo would be. It's a 97 850 t5 turbo. Currently it has 195/60 R15 on there. I am just wondering because I took the car on a trip that normally registered 775 miles, give or take a few, on all other vehiclesI have done the trip with, registered 795 on the volvo's tripometer. And on the odometer it worked out a difference of 799, and the information center gave me a reading of 720. Just seems odd to me, so it makes me think I have the wrong tire size. Any info would be appreciated, thanks guys.
The normal size should be 205/55/16's it should also say it in the inside of the fuel door. There should be a sticker with the tire size for the car.
Hey, thank you for the info. I checked the fuel door, sure enough, 205/55 16s are what it is supposed to have. Wish I had know prior to buying the car, oh well, I guess I will be looking for the apropriate wheel & tire combo soon. What other volvos have the same lug pattern? Would 205/55 15's work just as well?
All the 850's and S70's have the same lug pattern. Actually all till present pretty much have the same lug pattern some just have different offset and center bore hole.
The rims you should have are the same ones that are the white car in my sig pic. If you were close to me I might be selling a set of them soon but only want to sell locally.
Not sure as I am not really good at figuring out tire sizes. But there is a size in the 15's that will match the stock size overall to make everything right.
