Ok... I finally got some free time (not from work, or family, or sitting on my butt) from working on the car, since I'm waiting for Volvo to get my fuel tank hoses. So i snapped a few pics of my new T5-R that i picked up last weekend. Her name is Charlotte

The good:

T5-R. (obviously)

New tires last year (Brigestone Potenza) not my personal choice...

New Coil, plugs, and fuel pump, and radiator.

The interior is near flawless, just need to condition the leather a few times to avoid any issues. the first time helped out a bunch.

The engine is strong and well serviced, turbo pulls good, and no major issues.

and the exterior isn't all bad.

The bad:

passenger side rear door has been dented in, but its limited to the door so its an easy fix.

The back bumper has a small ding, and a small crack

the odometer gear broke... i fixed it the day i got it though

the trim over the roof is chipping (easy fix just need to get the nerve to pull it up....)

the front bumper has a few little paint chips nothing big

need to use some forever black on the trim

the rear shocks were dead. the passenger side rear shock mount was broken and that shock had blown completely. (also fixed. nice new Bilstein HD's from FCP (on sale too... thanks Andrew for that code))

It had "the 850 fuel leak" which i though was the hoses.. turned out to be the fuel pump lock ring was cross threaded on when it was replaced. Again im just waiting for volvo to get me my hoses now. Apparently "overnight" on Thursday means Monday... I don't know...

It has a small antifreeze leak that i need to diagnose. I believe its the lower radiator hose. I'm waiting until Monday to get that from FCP because they didn't have it in stock at their physical store in Groton CT, on friday

Anyways here are the pics...

please keep in mind that since the tank is dropped I've had it under a pine tree for a few days now... so i hosed it down to get "most" of the pine needles off it, and it needs a real good washing.

Sweet. Looks pretty good. The front spoiler looks great. Also look like you need an antenna. I would use the S70 roof trim pieces. I just did a set on my T-5R, they have rain catchers to reduce the amount of water that comes in your windows when you have windows open or cracked when you was the windows or when it raining.

Glad you have it.

Good news

The tank is back in the air. (what a b!tch)

I know it would be easier empty, but what fun would that be. I had about 6 gallons of gas left by the gauge... so that probably closer to 8... yeah it was fun.
Big thanks to the wife who doesn't mind getting her hands (too) dirty =) and wants to start driving it as bad as i do.

Those Bilsteins make the back nice and tight it seems. However they do seem to raise the car about an inch i'd guess...
maybe its just because the old ones were so bad... but i may need to do something about that in the future...

We'll after stage 0 im looking for all suspension and brake upgrades. Then I'll worry about getting it to move a little faster...

Shocks raised the car??? I don't think so. It should settle back down after you drive it. I think the springs actually control the hight. Or maybe you can bounce on the back end a few times to get it to settle down. Let me know on that one. I can measure how high mine is and compare (bottom of the bumper).
