Default pulling/instablity under braking

Hi there, recently bought a 96 850 which is in all round good condition but has a tendency to pull to the right in particular and feel generally unstable under braking.I have been told that this may be due to worn bushes in the wishbones,is this the likely culprit? The brakes, pads, discs all appear in good condition.

what wishbones are you talking about? the control arms?

sounds like its just a simple sticky caliper

Hi, I meant the front lower wishbones, there may be a difference in terminology as I'm in the U.K. I don't think its a stuck caliper as the reaction is not consistent at all speeds

i think you are talking about a control arm. and in that case you would prolly be feeling a clunk of some sort... or hearing one for that matter. could be a ball joint maybe? or a strut mount?

Check your rubber brake hoses. If they show signs of dry rot, replace them.

Bushings on controller arms.....they are fairly common to go bad and then the arm can swing a little bit without making any clunks but still enough to make the car pull to one side. I had that with my sedan when i bought it and replacing both arms and one broken spring seat in front strut fixed the problem....Also rotate the tires and see if makes any difference?
