Default Questions about TRACS.

This only happened once when I was using the traction control during PNW's snow storm. This was my first time driving in the snow so I wanted to see how the car would react. I was exiting a small roundabout and put my foot into it. The TRACS made it's typical ABS noise as it reaches the point of not helping and then all my warning lights flickered for a few seconds and the low fuel light and park brake light came on for the same duration. I had 2/3 of a tank and was not using the e-brake.

Not sure what the issue was but the TRACKS are almost useless. The best mode of travel in snow is the WINTER setting on the tranny button.

The issue was that full engagement of TRACS caused all my warning lights to flicker/come on for a few seconds; it only happened once and it could have been a fluke caused by wheelspin or something... I agree with TRACS being useless though. I have only had it work well on slick pavement, but in the snow it is more useful as a warning sound from the ABS motor than actual traction help. It seems that once you get to a certain point of slip the system gives up and just makes a bunch of ABS noise. My early 850 also has it manually turned ON by the switch.
