QUICK QUESTION!!!
hows everyone doin? anyways its freeeezing over here in MA and i have a question about my heater.
at first id put the heat on and it worked fine. but when i would shut the car off, the heater would make a low whining sound then shut off with the rest of the car.....i didnt think anythin of it, BUT
now, when i have the heat on high it makes alot of noise. especially when i first start the car up. it howls a little, and makes whining sounds. it does this most of the time now.
i know i need a new thermostat for the car, but i dont think that has anythin to do with it. im thinkin i need a new heater motor?? and if so where would be the cheapest and best quality to purchase one?
thanks,
matt

RE: QUICK QUESTION!!!
You'll need a blower motor. FCP Groton, Eeuroparts.com and others all sell them. You can buy it with or without a cage. I bought mine with because I didn't want to swap over the cage. It cost me around $140 and took about 40 minutes to swap out. It's located behind the glove box. - AB

RE: QUICK QUESTION!!!
Hello Matt,
Greetings from frozen Chicagoland.
I have a friend in Fall River MA, BTW.
FCP Groton has two different brand blowersnow (they used to have only Behr, A German unit):

Once the blower starts to make noise, you pretty much have to replace it, as the two gentlemen above have stated. I tried to clean it, lubricate it & re-install it but the problem disappeared only for 2 days. I bought Behr blower from FCP Groton afterwardand it seems to be of high quality.
I would buy a blower with cage attached to it, this makes the replacement easier.
Good luck,
JPN
