Default 850 with strange handling issue

well, Its a little difficult to explain, car drives fine in a straight line or turning right, no issues, but a left hand turn (most noticable changing lanes on freeway) causes the car to initially turn in OK, the it feels like a huge weight shifts in the car, and it tightens up the turn on its own. this is kind of eerie feeling.

it also feels like it goes from a left pull to a right pull at 55 mph or so, not a bad pull, but noticeable. and eerie.

I am going to look more closely at it tomorrow, I suppose I couldve overlooked tie rod or link somewhere, just wondering if this is a known issue, so as to pinpoint my search a little better.

thanks in advance for any suggestions you may be able to provide

the drivers lower arm looks newish, the passenger side I just replaced. the stabilizer links look ok. definitely not broken anyway..

I am suspecting maybe an inner tie rod end, passenger side. or a rear link of some type? I feel the shift in the wheel, but it almost feels as if the rear end is dumping over in left turns. the struts havent visibly blown, front or rear, rear stabilizer looks good as well.

this is actually a freinds car, I have two volvo drivers whos cars I take care of, and have alot of experience with cars in general, but this is a strange feeling problem, and I thought I had it when I found the bad ball joint. its better now but not cured.

will make sure to update this if I find anything out tomorrow.

well, it ended up being the links that the trailing arms pivot on. they were completely shot, allowing the entire rear suspension to deflect. they were a pain in the neck to fix, had to remove springs/shocks, then support the arm and remove the mounting brackets. after that the links are in an oval tube, with a plastic surrounded rubber cushion. after spending quite some time with an air chisel, I decided a torch was the only way.

I heated the tube enough that the plastic got soft, then they came right out.probably a cool factory tool or something to make it simpler but its done now.

between the front and rear repairs to the suspension the car drives like a dream comparatively.

now just an engine mount and some details and Ill be done with this one for a bit. Oh, what is the deal with the fuel filter quick connects? looks all sealed up, is there something Im missing? doesnt look like the ford tool will work.

The outside part slide towards the line then the line will slide off.
I always use needle nose pliers and grab the outside of the fitting the pry on the filter and they slide right off.
