'R' Badge on the OEM Grill
I finished adding an 'R' badge to my grill today.
The grill was masked then bead blasted to get the existing paint off and scuff it up for the new paint. The plate for the badge is a piece of aluminum embedded into the grill then held on from the back. Primered then painted. I am pleased.

Looks good. I just krazy glued mine to the grille...been on since July 2010 and 5,000 miles and seen 130+mph on numerous occasions so we know how much stronger yours is.

Did you make the plate yourself or buy it? I have a metal 100K high mileage badge I want to mount in the same way, but it only came with double-sided foam tape and there's no way I want to rely on that to keep it from falling (or getting ripped) off.
The plate it is on is from a strip of aluminum bought from home depot. Cut it to fit in the slot then ground down the grill so it fits into it instead of on the surface.
