Default Rad Removail!?

1997 Volvo 850 GLT: I have read on many forum topics and sites that removal of the radiator is pretty easy if you drop it out the bottom.

Well tonight I thought I would tackle this project....Not so easy..Being myself I didn't read to much of directions on removal except the main points and I would figure the rest out myself. Well I got everything unconnected and the rad free..all except the drivers side. The other main mount had broke (begining of my joyfull promblems lol.. So the drivers side mount was in my way. You cant go up with out hitting what it bolts to. You can't go back or else youll run into wires and some motor looking thing. and down you cant do it either.

After about 3 hours of strange posistions, many cuss words and a even more banged up rad the thing finaly came out.

Did I just miss something completly???? or Does this just take experience??

**Sorry for the sloppy Typing I wrote this in a hurry!***

When i pulled mine out (to replace evaporator) I just took off the intercooler hoses and upper fan shroud and fan and oil/trans cooler lines and pulled it out through the top.

I think I had to unbolt it from the intercooler as well - dont remember, but i dont recall it being overly difficult.
