Default Radiator leak

Hi all,

My volvo sprung a leak and all the coolant poured out. It is a small crack in the plastic part of the radiator. Probably less than a cm long. I currently have it taped up and it seems to be holding for now but I understand it will not be a long term solution. I have been thinking about getting some Permatex permapoxy 5 minute plastic weld to seal the hole up instead of buying a whole new radiator which will cost in between $200-$400, not to mention installing the new radiator.

Has anyone got any experience with this problem or any other suggestions to resolve this issue?

Thanks

Ahh, nothing like coolant roulette, how exciting!

Replace it or be prepared for the crusher!!!

I second Rspi, I wouldn't risk and I would just replace it.

For God's sake replace it.......You really don't want the hassle if you lose your coolant and severely overheat the car. Ask me how I know, or better yet, read about it here.... https://volvoforums.com/forum/volvo-...50-down-72986/
