Radiator swapping - 850 vs. V70
Long story short...
The radiator from my 850 is currently in my '98 V70. I ordered a new radiator online, and the one they sent me has different mounts for the oil cooler/trans cooler lines than what I have. My current radiator has the external clips, and the replacement has the internal clips.
The internal clips are used on the '99 and later cars, yes? Do the older hoses fit the newer radiator, maybe with some new clips, or are the two totally incompatible?
Before I go through the hassle of sending it back, I want to make sure I'm not missing something obvious.
Thanks

It is becoming common for the Chinese made radiators to come with the wrong coolant line connections. Even the proper connections have the wrong size connections which have to be modified to get the hoses secured.
Just another reason why I try to purchase from Volvo parts suppliers.
