You are absolutely right, there's more to Volvo life than just North America. When you find the "World" Radio code resource or their phone number please share it with us
I just feel we all need a group hug.

Talking Radio Codes

World Volvo...It was my understanding from something I read that codes were local...meaning that if the car was purchased new from Australia, I would have to call Australia to get the codes. That could be incorrect, but that bit of information was stuck in the back of my head.

The internet allows us to be Global, but no matter what country your in, I believe you probably go to that country first to get you questions answered. For instance, I would not call Sweden @ 15:00 EST Maryland because it would be 23:00 there. I suppose I could call New Zealand because it would be Monday there and English is their offical language, but what if I called a dealer and they only spoke Māori? I would be at a loss. I do speak Southern US, Northern US and I can manage some British slang. I can swear some in spanish and I can ask you where you are going in German and provided you tell me your going to school I will understand you. I can also sing the old Spiderman song in German. I can follow some latin (provided you are singing) or we are discussing anatomy otherwise, it is best that I stay with English.

I understand your comments...and agree, but you probably begin with your country to answer most questions.

Default Does this work for a 91 240? I have found an original radio but don’t have the code

1) with the ignition on, turn off the radio using the volume/power ****
2) hold down the preset button "6"
3) turn on the radio using the volume/power ****, with the preset button "6" still held down.
4) your radio will turn on and bypass code authentication.

This saved me some time and trouble, as it is Sunday and dealers are closed, but I can confirm that it works on my 1995 850 radio. (811 I think).
does this work on a 91 240?
