Post Radio issues with a 96' 850

My radio has recently failed and I'm trying to diagnose the issue. The stereo will still turn on and turning up the volume lets me hear some static. No signal from FM 1 or 2 but weak signal from AM. Antenna still extends and retracts properly. Any recommendations?

Check the antenna connection at the back of the radio. To remove the radio, press in on the two small vertical slits on the front of the radio. Two handles will pop out and allow you to pull out the radio.

Is the antenna connection the smaller cable group or the larger one?

It should be one cable about the thickness of a pencil (looks almost like a cable TV cable).
