Default Radio/speakers

My speakers go in and out how can I check it without having to put the dealer code to have my radio work?

Do ALL of them go in and out at the same time or some or one???

When they go out if you wiggle your volume **** do they come back on? Can you wrap on your dash and get them to come back on?

Do you have a factory amp? Aftermarket amp? No amp?

More details please.

All of them go out go out and the volume doesn't change anything. Not sure about the amp but pretty certain they are stock. I know it is not the antenna or the radio my biggest concern is the code. The code is to make sure no one steals the radio, whenever I get a new battery a repair shop had to verify with the dealer about the code to make the radio work again. I don't want to mess with it where I have to have go to a volvo dealer to put the code in.

If you have issues getting the code, I'll give you the number to my dealer here. they gave me the code for the radio with a phone call and the vin - simple.

I have had no trouble getting the code from my dealer either. Over the phone in fact. Call them, tell them you replaced your battery and you need the code. Have your VIN number ready.

By the way, some 850's have a factory amp between the heater core and radio within the center console. You need to know if you have one or not. Not to hard to miss if you pull the carpet back on either side.
