1994 850 turbo randomly smokes but when it does it fills the interior of the car and completely smokes out whatever street you're on.it only does it once in a while,it might go 2-3 months without acting up and then it might do it every other day for a week.

 

Does it have an EGR? Sounds like the symptoms of a bad EGR, assuming it doesn't lose oil or coolant.

Turbo seals.

First thing to do is replace your PCV system. If it continues you will need to rebuild the turbo.

 

OK,sorry it took so long to reply this is my buddys car and been covered up at work.anyway,I tore into it today pulled the intake and checked the pcv system and it's all clear.the intercooler and all the hoses are very oily and all the low spots had oil standing in them.the turbo is very oily also.the shaft doesn't seem to have any side play but the shaft probably has 3/16" end play.I guess it's turbo time,he'll love that.
