volvo 850 random stalling
So, I had a different name on here before and forgot it so I made this new one. ANYWAY, we have a 93 volvo 850 GLT that began to stall randomly and refuse to start up. It would happen at least once a week and obviously we could not have it happen anymore because it'd always be on the way to work and would just decide to start back up whenever it felt like it...
So we left it in the driveway for about a month and drove other cars but we just got rid of the civic so now all we have is my 3000gt... I decided to tear into it and get it running again but it just wouldn't start... turns out it just needed to be jumped... we got it running again and I drove it around for a few weeks with 0 issues. The check engine light and service light have been on for a while and we decided to try and sell it since we just didn't want to deal with it so I went in and read and cleared all the codes/lights.
Just for the hell of it I took all the codes down before clearing and I saw 1-2-1 which says Faulty or bad MAF... i'm thinking "Holy crap this could easily be the reason we've been having this problem!" SO, since this COULD be the answer to our problems we may keep it. hahaha
Now if you read all that now I need your opinion... should we bother? I also got a code 2-2-1 from A2 that I cannot seem to find anywhere.... other than that the other codes I got from the other sections were things like ABS sensors, and bad grounds... :-/
I'm thinking about looking around for a MAF in a yard from the same year and picking it up for like 20 bucks, slapping it on and hoping that did the trick....
Other than the stalling issue, the air has not worked since we got it(Think it's a resistor), driver's side door doesn't open unless you press the door itself in THEN pull the handle, and all around the brakes are just not great... the engine runs AMAZING... no ticks, weird noises, it's even really quiet. The trans. also shifts perfect, no clunks or anything weird...
EDIT: I just went back out and started it up to mess with something and wouldn't ya know the ABS light is on now... had this car for 2 years and that's never come on... what gives...

A2 = Fuel System
2-2-1 .. Adaptive HO2S Control, Engine Running Too Rich At Part Load
= O2 sensor.
The ABS is known to fail on 850s but can usually be dealt with. Since your 850 is 93 model, I believe you need to repair the brake light switch and the pedal sensor.
There is a great write-up by a gentleman named Arzy. See if you can find it. If you can't find it, I'll post a couple of pics.

Also JPN what is it going to cost me roughly parts wise to fix the ABS... I don't really care for it, it's not like you need it anyway but just to make the light go away. I have had codes for both rear wheel ABS sensors since we got the car now there's a few others (4-4-4, 1-4-2, and the sensors for the wheels 2-1-3 + 2-1-4)
Other codes are A6 1-3-1, A7 1-2-2, A1 1-2-4... not sure what they all do.
