Default Rear bumper "make over".....

So I got tired of looking at the crappy, dented, cracked and faded rear bumper on my 1997 850AWD............ removed the bumper, snapping off some rusted bolts, sanded, filled, sanded some more, primer/filler, sanded some more and painted, re-installed, turned out OK.

I had to clean up the mud flaps as well, I did buy a new set from a member here but turns out they are for a sedan not a wagon, slightly different shape and mounting hole location..... :-(

I replaced mine on the wagon using a small piano hinge. Had to "invent" new holes but it worked a treat.

That is a good idea but when my hinge was broken it took the area of plastic around it out as well..... nowhere to mount a new hinge.....

going to paint it green or leave it black? thinking bout doing this to mine cause there in bad shape but of course I have a platinum so I either paint em black or white or get a shop to order 424-15 paint (platinum) and spray it.

I was going back and forth on that, decided just black and if I didn't like it I would have a locally shop spray the bottom half matching green, but after a while the black has grown on me......
