Default Removing fan, from heater blower motor

Hi, I recently bought a 1994 Volvo 850 non-turbo, with the 20 valve 2.4 engine. I started to change the heater blower motor, but can't fiqure out how to remove the fan blade. I don't want to break it, so if someone could please explain how it comes off the motor shaft, I really would appreciate it. So far, I have changed the flame trap, fuel pressure regulator, battery and tires, but this one has me stumped. Thanks for any help. Chuck

I don,t know if this is the correct way, but I put a two x four on each side of fan motor, supporting fan cage , took a hammer and punch, struck shaft head at center of fan cage, fan is now free from shaft. I see no breaks, or cracks, so I guess it worked for what I wanted. Thanks anyway.

That seems to be the way most people do it. As long as it did not break, then you are good to go.
