replacement O2 sensor for 5-speed 95 850?

replacement O2 sensor for 5-speed 95 850?
Has anyone used Bosch # 15727 as a universal replacement? My 850 is manual (built 10-94), and has the 4 wire, RED connector. For the vast majority of 850's (auto, perhaps???), seems like they have the black connector and use Bosch # 15738 replacement. I've looked on probably 10 websites and come away w/ way too much (inconsistent) information! the red connector looks like pic below
