I need to replace the lighter receptacle in my '95 850 GLT. It doesn't work, and the fuse isn't blown. I've gotten the ashtray out, but can't figure out how to remove the receptacle from the ashtray itself.

I'm having just as little luck finding a direct replacement. Can I just get a universal one and wire it in directly?

Did you remove the front cubby panel to see the back side of the lighter?

 

Just make sure you fuse it correctly.
