Replacing Expansion Tank

Replacing Expansion Tank
I have diagnosed my problem and should be receiving my new expansion tank and hose today, thanks for the help.
I read through a number of other threads and understand that this is a pretty simple swap and shouldn't have any problems. I saw in another thread that the cap should be replaced as well. Is this necessary? Is there an easy way to check my existing cap?

I'd replace the tank and see if there's any overheating problems before you swap the cap.
If you do replace it, do some research first; I read something awhile back that talked about a gray cap and a green cap. Seems they have different ratings and some people got one when they should have gotten the other - I just can't keep it straight in my head...
