That's an exl write up. It looks like that's about same process on a 850NA. Is that correct or is there some major difference I don't know about? Never done front end work but looks doable. Can I refer to this for my 850? Thanks!

I'm in the middle of using it to do the inner and outer tie rods on my 1996 NA 850 wagon and it seems right on. I'm trying to save the bellows, rather than cutting them off as recommended in the tutorial. The bellows I ordered from FCP Groton seem quite a bit shorter and flimsier than the originals. Looks like you can push them down toward the inner tie rod and still get a wrench on that collar.

Have you checked the control arm bushings?

There is a tool for doing the inner tie rod ends and most of the parts stores will loan it to you even if you didn't buy the parts there. You buy it to take it out of the store and you get a full refund if you bring it back in a day or two.

The write up is excellent!
