Hello,
I have a 1993 volvo 850 and I have this idea I've come up with for a ram air intake that is fed through a roof scoop. The pipe would run from the scoop straight down into an air box and straight through the cabin and into the engine.
I have a two part question now if this is done right will it essentally work ? Or do I need to be instatutionalized? And if it will work how exactly would be the best way to do it ? I have a rough idea of how I would do it with PVC.

No offense, but if you want to do it right buy a civic... You dont do things like that to a volvo..

 

So you want to take air from the roof, behind the engine, and route it through the car, forward, into the engine bay and into the engine? What would the point be?

 

If you want to do it right, you don't use a scoop anyway. I've been pondering isolating my air intake in a box and putting a naca duct in the hood just above it.

 

Maybe you can add a heater at the same time and share the piping through the roof ???





Or buy a MOPAR kit for a Jeep and modify it for the left side

 

Well the idea behind it would be to use the pressure from the scoop to push through the airbox and into the engine.

 

To do what? I know what you think it will do and you are wrong.

Why don't you install a throttle body spacer instead. Just as useless but much easier to do.
