I would have saved the extra 200 dollars from a RIP kit and just gone ahead with a FMIC especially with the 18T. Are you upgrading your injectors too?

Yeah, true. I guess for the rip kit your paying for ease of direct install, but I'd rather save the 200 dollars, throw in some elbow grease, and do something that has reported results. I've never read of someone putting in a rip kit and seeing/feeling results. Where as the FMIC people have reported gaining a few psi. 850s used to come factory with a rip kit, but they discontinued that for a reason. But like I said, reported, I haven't used either, so I can't say from experience, just from what I've read.

Worry not, I get a great deal on the RIP. It was worth it.

Problem solved. I told here that every time she scrapes or dents it I am going to fix it and this one is going to cost us $120 for paint so she needs to think twice about how she drives. If she doesnt want me spending money on it then stop hitting things.

Installed my RIP last night. No matter what anyone tells you, the RIP kit does make a difference. Performance and sound, both.

Have you ever had your Car talk to you? Mine did today, it threw a CEL after installing the RIP kit...and guess what it said?

Mine said, "Hey John, you've got more air flowing now. Sweet!"

...now thats an error I can smile about.
