I use the amsoil power foam engine cleaner its like seafoam only its really a foam so it clings to the built on crud and soaks into it to break it up where seafoam just seems to smoke away. im a amsoil dealer thats why i figured i would give it a shot.

Here is a video of my car getting the amsoil treatment about a week or 2 after the seafoam treatment.

The car smoked that much after only 2 weeks, amazing. Do you use the amsol foam the same way as seafoam?

how long will the car smoke for with seafoam? I'm assuming the smoking is part of the cleaning process. Two weeks of that would be brutal though!

Fcp its the same way as amsoil but its in a aerosol can and as soon as you spray it. it starts to foam so spray it through a vaccuum line with the car at idle and keep spraying it and just like you would suck the seafoam in through a vacuum line.

and vpatrol i used seafoam 2 weeks prior to using the amsoil product and i had that much smoke when i used the amsoil stuff. It doesnt smoke for 2 weeks it took about 35-40 minutes for the car to stop smoking completely though. i did what i did in the video then let the car idle for a bit then took it for a 10 minute drive down the highway and the smoking stopped

Here is a link to the amsoil stuff

If you want more information on it just send me a pm.

Sea foam is great I use it on all of my vehicles. First started using it on my Fishing boat and from there on my land vehicles engines will preform better as far as using it in the oil I wouldn't but would use Marvel Mistery Oil for the crancase. Add a Qt drive a bit and change the oil then add about 1/2 qt in with the new oil changes this will keep the seals fresh clean up the crud and gunk that accumulates in the oil system and you can even put a bit into the now sea foamed clean fuel system. you car will run better and get better mileage and pick up

Just reading through the link that Cheesecake posted to the AMSOIL Power Foam Engine Cleaner & Degreaser. I noticed a couple things:

1. "RECOMMENDATIONS
Avoid contact with hoses."

2. "NOTE: Not to be used with vehicles that have MAF sensors."

I'm wondering how this product is good to run in my car....

Seafoam now has an aerosol can that has a special hose to make the intake method easy. I have used it. To Hydro lock your engine you would have to make some major mistake since Seafoam is flammable like your gas that gets put into your engine.

What about the "Do not use on vehicles with MAF sensor" part? My 2000 S40 1.9T has a MAF. Can/should I use seafoam?
