When I tried to get my car inspected got a P0410 code about secondary air injection and it caused me to fail emissions. Should i buy a air pump relay and see if that is the problem? I am not sure if i want to spend $120 on a sas check valve if it is just the relay. Someone let me know if they had this problem before and if you did how you fixed it, Thanks.

 

do you hear the pump engaging and does it seem loud to you? If you suspect the relay you can check at the pump's connector to see if you get voltage before buying a relay. Did you inspect the tube for build up? Usually its either the valve or pump itself. I'd be curious if there's a way to bypass the pump to quiet the code...

 

just checked it now and i cant hear the air pump and i pulled the tube off of the sas valve and didnt feel any air coming out. didnt check for build up yet
