i have a 92 850 turbo and need to know how to re set service light.

This should cover your car although it does say 93 - 95.

 

There is no such thing as a 92 Volvo 850. The first year for the 850 was 93 and the Turbo was not made until 94.

 

The 850 had its world launch in June 1991.
The UK Haynes manual covers vehicles from 1992, which was when they were launched in the UK.
I have just read a review, on www.carsurvey.org, by a North American owner of a 1993 850 Turbo.

It would appear that the first UK turbo model came out in late 1993. Volvo UK did a press release for the 850 T5 in October 1993 and my friendly Volvo wizard (who is a bit like Tech and knows many things about Volvos we mere mortals can only dream about) remembers working on one about that time. He, however, thinks the European turbo model may have been released slightly earlier.
Seems like Volvo test in Europe, further test in the UK and then, presumably when the tides are right, send the cars to you as we seem to be about 1 year ahead.

 

With the Exception of the S80. The U.S. was the test market.
