Default Service Light at Start

When I start my 850 Turbo 96 the service light comes on for around 3 minutes then turns off. I need brakes and rotors so, could that be it? It does it every time and I don't have any other problems. Any help would be great. Thanks!

The service light is an oil change reminder light.

You need a special tool to reset it.

My service light comes on on all three cars. I see how far I can go before it goes out. It really does not mean you need an oil change it means the light has not been reset for xxxx number of miles.

When we told one guy it meant he needed an oil change he said "But I just changed the oil myself". Do you see my point?

^Actually, I was talking to a local VolvoSpeed guy, and he said that some people use it as an indicator to not do any heavy boosting before the car warms up.
