I'm looking for detailed instructions on how to remove my shift ****,other than pulling really hard. 96 GLT automatic. Do I put it in drive when pulling? Do I hold the button in? Does the new one just slip on with a click? I don't want to break something. The old one worked fine just cracked rubber falling of so my wife bought me one for xmas. Thanks to anyone that's done this before.
