Does anyone know if another mfr's bulbs fit into the shifter bulb adadpter? For example, I used the bulbs for a 1998 Accord in my 1994 850 radio.

My dealer wants $49.50 for the shifter bulb!!!!! It's a 1 watt bulb. I went to Pep Boys and they gave me the correct bulb number, but it doesn't fit in the adapter without soldering... and I don't have a soldering gun.

 

^A solder + metal looming/wiring is only around 15 bucks at radio shack.

 

This was just talked about a few days ago, but if it's the bulb that illuminates your "PRND321", then the bulb is not $50. I just bought that bulb at the dealership in Canada a little while ago for $16, which is still too much for just a bulb, but again, not $50.
