Default Winter/sport/econo Mode Switch

My car is an '95 850 GLT wagon with 72K Km. The Winter/sport/econo switch hasn't worked since I got the car 1 year ago. There is ground on one of the switch wires and 12 v. on two of the other wires when the ignition is on. The winter mode arrow does not light when the ignition is first turned on. I bought a new switch, installed it and still it doesn't function. I tested the Transmission Control Module (TCM) for faults (A1) and no faults indicated, I used an OBD II scanner and no fault codes indicated. I have a wiring diagram for the Automatic Transmission but the wires from the switch trace back to the TCM, so I'm feeling a little "hooped" and don't know where to look next, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I assume you just want the switch to work correctly and that no other problems are apparent. I don't know the answer to your problem, but try posting to Matthews Volvo site. Made In Japan is a fellow that seems to know his stuff and might be able to help you. Here is the link ... http://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/

I hope they can help you.
