Default Smell of burnt plastic, smoke out of exhaust

So recently I have been smelling burnt plastic in my 850 Turbo on occasion. It has happened twice so far with random timing. The first time that it happened I immediately presumed that it was a burning fuse but I dont think that it was because tonight it happened again and I got out while the car was running to found light white smoke (partially due to temp being around 35F right now) coming from the exhaust that seemed to be the source of the burnt plastic smell. I know that my 02 sensors need to be replaced so could this smell be coming from a poor air to fuel ratio? It does not smell sweet like coolant and my oil doesnt look milky.. I will replace my 02 sensors but could that even be the problem? or maybe burnt oil in my turbo?

Thanks

Default

I have not had the heavy smoke out of the exhaust again, but while thinking of what could cause the odors to come through my vents I decided to replaced the insulation above and beneath the front windshield shroud and this has stopped the exhaust odors from coming into the cabin. I had a huge gap near the cabin air filter that was sucking fumes from the engine bay inside whenever the radiator fan would cut on =) Now to figure out if I need to change out my turbo..
