I doubt you have a waste gate issue - that's there to cap the boost pressure when the turbo is fully spooled. A failed waste gate will either stay open and you don't get boost or stays closed and you'd over boost (and see the corresponding CEL...). However, there is also a diverter valve which releases the boost when you step off the gas (note some people mistakenly call this a blow off valve but there is a difference). I posted the same thing on another thread. After driving for a while I went to add oil. Some came out of my oil fill port. I am guessing it is exhaust? And this is due to clogged PCV system and or ports in the oil pan? Can clogged ports in the oil pan cause this issue too. I plan to replace my oil pan sooner or later.
