Spark Plug Cover help?
okay so i wAs thinking of buying some carbon fiber film from autozone to put on my spark plug cover... is it safe to do so? the plastic film wont burn right? this is for my 95' 850 glt... thanks
Shouldnt burn. However, it may discolor over time, at which point it will look like crap. Also, you're not gonna be able to get it to lay flat over the "volvo" or "20 valve" that's stamped into it.
if you want it to look right, get this: http://www.vivaperformance.com/produ...B47%7DC70.html

Hey that cover is nice! The price is crazy though... I was thinking of putting the film over the cover then using a razor, cut out the outline of the Volvo and 24 valve... Thanks though! =D
just be sure you clean the bejeezus out of it before you paint it. I soaked mine in purple power for a while, then scrubbed it, then soaked it some more. Then I rinsed it off really well in water and then wiped it down with rubbing alcohol before priming and painting. Also, be sure to use high temp paint. If you have any questions on the process, let me know.
