Red face Spark plug wires

I replaced all plugs on my 94 turbo yesterday as part of maintenance ( no problems with car) and found that the sparkplug wires are bougicord brand but have a yellow stamping on them that says "93-40" on them. Now, does this mean thay are 1993 made cables or is that some misleading number and if it is the year of manufacture then how strong is the recomendation to replace them?

I would plan on replacing them in the near future, but if they are working fine now, I would keep using them

It is the date code. When you replace them be sure to use the Bougicords, I paid extra for a set of Bosch wires and they did not work well at all.

Thanks Psaboic and Lee,
There is no operational problem with them and thats why I just replaced sparkplugs only couple of weeks ago and then just saw this stamp today when i was looking for something else under the hood. So, i wouldnt touch them for now.
Secondly, I just got hold of a O2 sensor from a 93 850 n/a (redish colour connector) and my question is that Can I install it in my 94 Turbo as pre-cat sensor by just splicing the wires to my original (94 turbo-blue colour) connector or they are completely different in specs?

If I had spark plug wires that were 16 years old, I would change them, and I would use nothing but OEM.
