So im not sure, but its seems my car rides a bit stiff. 93 850 glt 4 door sedan. the button that changes the suspension does not light up, and the winter button does not compress fully. would it be best just to take off that center console and see what i come up with. as well my cruise control doesnt come on either anymore as well. Any hints or suggestions would be great.

oh, and is the 93 850 2.4 oil pan the same as 970s and other 5 cylinders? mine had a fight with a small boulder up in northern bc and lost...

 

That isn't a suspension button. Its for the transmission. So it has nothing to do with the ride being stiff.

 

Not sure what you meant by "same as 970s" To see part compatibility I usually go to a dealer parts web site and look for the Volvo part number (ie google "volvo 1271604" and you'll see the oil sump for the '93 850 (after a specific engine serial number) is the same as the 94,95 etc which don't have the level sensor so that should give you some sense of what years use the same pan. Generally speaking you would want to stay in the B52xx engine family (the 5 cylinder dohc "white blocks")
