Default Starting Problem

Have am intermitent starting problem with 93 850 GLT. Car will start then once warm stalls this only happens in damp weather and after the car sits for about a half hour it will restart. Due to this the car is usually running by the time it gets to shop. Have had the coil wire changed but this did not seem to help. Any ideas? Thanks

Sorry about the problem.

I would like to know when the car has had a good tune-up the last time.

Refer to this post for tune-up info:

Did you replace the cap & rotor? Also, try pulling the codes from the ECU. For 1993 models, this can be done manually, without a tester or tool.

When replacing parts, go with OEM parts as they are generally the best parts for your car.

OEM:
Ignition wire: Bougicord
Dist. Cap & Rotor: Bosch
Coil: Bosch
Plugs: Genuine Volvo (Bosch & Champion are indicated in the factory manual as well).

Default RE: 850 turbo Warm Start Problem

My 1994 850 turbo has developed an annoying problem. It would not start whwn the engine is warm. Once I keep cranking for a long period it will make the traction arrow to flash for couple of days, after the car finally start once theengine cools down. Replaced the fuel pump and both Oxygen sensors. Now the lambda light does not go away. Is this year OBD 2 compliant? Any idea as to what is going on? Not able to turn the service light off either after oil change! The dash is very colourful these days.
