Have a '95 850 that just slid on black ice into a rock wall at app. 20MPH.Pass. front wheel took a good shot,steering is now difficult and ATF is pouring out of the black,segmented rubber boot covering the tie rod?What do you guys think happened--the seal maybe ruptured from the pressure?Where can I get a blow-up pic so I can see what I'm dealing with--preferably online? Thanks

 

Most likely something in the rack broke.

 

Yep, I'm betting the steering rack bit the dust from the impact. I would have a good mechanic check it out for you, and definitely DON"T try to drive it
