Sunroof Motor
I recently replaced my entire sunroof assembly with one from a '99 V70. Outside of taking out the extremely long headliner in my wagon, it was pretty darn easy. Since then, I have run into an issue though. My sunroof now will no longer autostop at the close point. I used to be able to hold it until it stopped when going from tilt or full opened to the close point, but now it will continue through from open to tilt or vice versa.
I did a ton of searching on here, volvospeed, and Matthews Volvo Site, and no one knew definitively what was wrong. I figured it must be a solenoid or relay in the motor (which I have spare from the old unit), so I called a local shop and theytold me that was correct, but I wanted to see ifTech or others could confirm this as well. Not that changing the motor is going to take a ton of time, but I want to do it and be done with it
Is this actually the case? - AB

It could be.
The motors are timed.
Not 100% sure by what but they are timed. It might be the motor. If you want plug in the old motor and work it through the cycle and see if it stop like it should.
