My tachometer randomly stopped working yesterday. I have made a few short trips since and still nothing, hoping it was just a fluke. I have read about this, but mostly on 94 and 95 models. I tried moving the key around because I read that the ignition switch is a possibility. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated, thanks.

 

Do you have any other warning lights like ABS or anything?

 

yea I have ABS and Tracs which does occasionally mess up my speedometer/ odometer

 

That could be your problem. I'd get that fixed first then see what happens after that.

Contact the ABS guy in the link I have in my signature.
