I currently own a 94 850 NA wagon and am looking to replace my tail light assemblies (they are so yellowed that its difficult to see them, and I'm surprised I haven't been pulled over yet) and the rear tailgate trim panel (previous owner tried to fix the rattle with drywall screws...) I found a local salvage yard that has a 2000 V70XC and I was wondering if the parts will transfer over? They look similar, but I don't want to walk out of the salvage yard and find that they don't fit..

 

Its my understanding that the upper portions will fit as a direct swap from a P1 V70, but the lowers require a bit of modification.

I'm in the same boat as you, my 95 tails are so weather damaged it looks like someone hit them with a sandblaster. Been considering installing a set of the P1 lights as well...Bonus is, you get a clear lens in the center of the top one instead of an amber lens

Which yard was it that has those lights? Im somewhat local to you (Dubois) and work in Jtown, maybe we can make a weekend yard trip one afternoon. I know Johnny's in Altoona has some V70/S70's down there from the P1 era... I've been looking for a you pull it closer than Altoona...

 

Good to know about the tail lights. I live right outside of Beaver Falls, but the tail lamps were at a slavage yard near Cranberry Twp. My wagon needs some love, but I dont want to drop boatloads of money into a 22 year old car, thats why I've been scouring the salvage yards websites to see who's got any 850's but they seem to be hard to come by around here... I would love to take a trip out East to govto Harry's u pull it, but 5 hours is a hell of a drive for scrap yard parts...

 

Harry's is fantastic I usually get down to that area once a month to visit mom, I try to get to Harry's as much as possible.
