Thoughts on wheels

Volume of air in a cross section of a 225/45/17 is gonna be about 22,700MM^2
Volume of air in a cross section of a 205/50/16 is gonna be about 21,000 MM^2
According to my door card, tirerack.com, and my fuel door, proper size on my car is 205/50/16.
Also, my car isn't lowered and isn't going to be, so thats a non-issue for me.
The part about chains is also a non-issue for me because 1) I run winter wheels with snow tires and 2) chains are illegal here anyway.
I don't have mud guards either, so thats also a non-issue for me.

Im not even doing it for the look. The cost of wheels (which i was going to get anyway so I could have winter wheels and summer wheels) will be MORE than offset by the price at which I can get tires.
if it werent for the awesome deal I can get on tires, I'd be leaving the stock 16" wheels for summer tires and getting 15" wheels for winter.
