Default new trouble codes, any thoughts?

'00 v70xc, 85k miles

pulled a couple new trouble codes this evening, any thoughts/advice/insight? thanks

p1238
p1550

a brief search seems to reveal that the p1550 may be related to the abs mod. i intend to have it repaired soon.

the other night i sprayed a couple shots of carb cleaner into the air intake past the maf sensor. i did this to clean the maf sensor. i had been told to do this by mechanics for other vehicles in the past. don't get me wrong, this was not an entire can of carb clean, just a couple shots. do you think it could cause damage to the turbo or etm? do you think it could cause these codes to trip?

as usual a quick search reveals a lot of info. it seems there is a bit of controversy over carb cleaner and tb cleaners. for now i going to assume there was no major damage done and that my new codes are not related.

aside from the codes, the car is running fine (knock on wood).

Well when I clean my TB or sensor I don't use spray. I use a carb solvent or even a degreaser and a toothbrush or acid brush and gentley massage the dirt away. But I don't think carb spray would effect the codes you mentioned. I heard of some solvent messing up certain sensors. look on the bottle and make sure it says sensor safe. just a bit of info...
