Timing belt???'s
Hi guys. I just got back from the garage and after pulling into the driveway I noticed a slight sound coming from the motor. It sounds like (for lack of better description) a wheer, wheer, wheer, wheer, wheer, wheer sound coming from the timing belt area. I had the garage replaced the belt and tentioner. Do these need a breakin time? Am I being paranoid? All the pulleys are fine and have no slack. The car runs like a scalded cat. New plugs and wires as well. Any knowledge would be appreciated. Notta...

Was the belt possibly rubbing on the timing cover?
They might make a slight bit of noise. The rubber running on new pulleys. But most of the time the Belt isn't slid all the way on and rubs the timing cover.

I hope it's that. I get really funny about my vehical's engine situation. I plan on keeping this one for a real long time! Tonight I took it around the block for a rip and man oh man what a vehical!!!
The car has about 139000 miles and I replaced the tentioner but I did not replace the idler pully. When the cover was off and the belt was off we checked the pully and it had no play or anything. It seemed to roll very smoothly. Unfortunatly I found out an idler pulley was only $105.00. Thats after I paid $171.00 on the tentioner.
