S70 timing belt or timing chain?
Hi Guys
I have 940 GLE turbo wagon, model 1998. Now planning to buy S- 70 model 2000. She has done 81000 Km, and is in a very good shape. I want your views on it as i have driven 940 which proved to be a very nice car in every respect.
Secondly shall be grateful if someone can tell that S-70 model 2000 is having a timing belt or timing chain?
Thanking in advance. This forum is really very interesting. People are very coperative. I have taken lot of information for my 940 Turbo wagon.

RE: S70 timing belt or timing chain?
Thanks for the response. Well what if i go for a station wagon V -70 model 2001 or 2002. Any recuring problems in this car.
As discussed earlier i have 940 Turbo wagon model 1998 which has never given me any trouble and i will rate it as a very realiable car. Have driven BMW throughout my life, but from now onwards after driving this wagon will never change to any other car makers.

RE: S70 timing belt or timing chain?
The V70 and S70 are virtually the same cars. With one being a vagon and the other being a sedan. My mother in-law has a 01 V70 and my wife drives a 98 V70. They are both very reliable cars and a lot better economically than the SUV's. I sold a Suburban to buy the V70. I like having a wagon, but could not afford gas for the Suburban.
