Default Top of the motor covered with oil

Bought my 96 850 turbo six months ago, since the day i got it ,i've been having problems with oil on top of the motor, under valve cover. Replaced whole PCV system and oil cap thinking that was was the probem. Well, it wasn't. The other day i noticed that the oil makes it's way to the top of the engine through couple of the 10mm head bolts. Tried to tighten them but they just spin, and now even more oil makes it's way up. Not really sure how to take care of this problem. Is there an easy fix for that? Thanks for your input.

You would have to pull the cam cover and either make the holes one size bigger tapping the holes and using bigger screws(Which I have done before) or try heli-coils.

Hey Tech,
Thank you so much for your reply and advice. You are the bestest. Is it easy enough to do using heli coils, even though i have never done it before or should i just take it to some shop and let them deal with that? Is this an expensive job if i pay someone else to get it done (only 2 bolts need special attention)?

I am not positive, but I believe that I heard heli coils and aluminum are not very reliable. I would resize the hole and re tap it like Tech said just to be safe.

Maybe someone who has used helicoils with aluminum can chime in?

You might want to have a Volvo specialist(Not Dealer) fix it. My if it was my car I would make the hole bigger and use the different bolt.

I would say atleast 2 to 3 hours or so. But you may want to call and get an estimate first.
